OUR SOLUTION:

On the camera side, the binary data is modulated onto the video signal, the signal amplified and the high frequency components of it are raised even more to compensate for the non-linear cable loss.

On the ECU side, the binary data is extracted from the video signal and either passed on over serial interface or processed and displayed directly in the SDO-3 module.

The advantage is the use of the video channel for the simultaneous transmission of binary data. Thus, the ever-existing video channel can be used to additionally transfer binary data.

The required adaption work in the system electronics are minimal.
